Dandori Academy Attempts and Retake Tickets Explained
Distinguish the ordinary weekly exam attempt from ticket-based retries, and compare the monthly ticket grant with the capped practice-earned supply.
Is an exam strictly one attempt with no exceptions?
No. The English edition overview gives an ordinary once-per-week exam attempt. Nintendo’s detailed Japanese Academy page then explains a ticket that lets you retry the same stage. A better retry score can improve your medal, so the short overview should not be read as a ban on every additional attempt.
This is a description of the announced full Academy system. On November 3, the full edition has not launched, and the demo’s qualifying exams open later. We have not established that every ticket-grant feature is included in the demo.
Where do the tickets come from?
| Announced source | Grant | Limit described |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly allocation | 1 ticket | Monthly grant |
| Practice | 1 ticket per 5 practices | Up to 5 practice-earned tickets per month |
The cap applies specifically to tickets earned through practice. It is not a statement that the wallet holds only five tickets, or that unused tickets expire. The reviewed source does not establish a carryover rule.
For terminology, the Japanese page uses おかわりチケット. This guide calls it a retake ticket descriptively; it does not claim that this is the final English interface label.
What does the practice cap mean in numbers?
Under the published rule, five qualifying practices correspond to one practice-earned ticket, ten to two, and twenty-five to the monthly maximum of five. Thirty does not imply a sixth practice-earned ticket that month. Adding the ordinary monthly grant gives six tickets from the two described sources if all those grants are earned.
That is arithmetic, not a promise about your current balance. The source does not specify the exact moment a practice counts, whether entering and immediately exiting counts, or a shortcut for farming the requirement. Follow the game’s recorded progress instead.
When is practice a better choice than spending a ticket?
If you are still learning what a stage asks for, unlimited practice is the documented way to inspect it before using an exam opportunity. A ticket has a different purpose: another scored try at the same stage.
Compare the result you want with the requirement. A higher medal can matter, but Platinum and Master grant the same published Dandori Points. Whether the higher score is worthwhile for you is separate from a campaign-point calculation.
Use the stage and practice guide for course availability. For Bloom goals, consult the reward requirements instead of assuming a retry automatically produces another copy of a gift.
Which official sources support this guide?
- Nintendo UK: ordinary weekly attempt and unlimited practice.
- Nintendo Japan: same-stage retries and monthly ticket rules.
